When the sun was about to set, I walked into a restaurant that I had never visited before. Me and my friends had made promise to meet there. We had become friends ever since we were in college. When I walked towards their table, my sight was attracted to a group of women at another table. They were my friends when I was in junior high school! I was a bit surprised to see them gathering together. Why did they gather without asking me? Even though I was also one of their close friends and I used to gather together with them. I walked towards their table right away and asked them what’s on my mind. They were confused and stayed silent. They probably felt bad towards me and didn’t know how to answer me. Disappointed, I walked towards my college friends’ table. Even though I felt sad because my junior high school friends had forgotten me, but I was grateful that I still had my college friends who always remember me and ask me to gather together. Honestly, my heart still felt sad because I was forgotten, but thankfully it was just my dream.
A short note about my college friends.
When we were in college, we were in the same class. After we graduated, the four of us seldom communicate through social media but we always have meetings in restaurants. If one of us popped up on WhatsApp and asked us to gather together, we will search for free time and make a deal to meet. It has been years since we graduated but we keep this tradition. We usually choose to meet in restaurant that we have never visited before. While we are eating, we talk about each of our life experiences. It’s exciting to have these moments of togetherness. Do you still remember your friends?
